I have severe chondromalacia patella in both my knees. Yes my doc has told me that a knee replacement will help in my case as it removes the infected (in this case my kneecap) and puts a smooth one in. The only stupid problem is that i am to young to have it done as I am only 38
Sucks cause I have no quality of life left. I cant walk for more than a block without pain. I have a hard time getting in and out of the tub.
SUCKS having bad freaking knees
Affordable Health Insurance Quotes

This persons site makes some workout to help with TKR but she has, like, this really boring voice.

(Look at her channel too)
This chick too but it's for the basic and if you've just been opened up.

Don't know anything else but to try to search "Knee training or Knee Replacement training"
Free Backlinks

When I had physical therapy after foot surgery, I got pretty chatty with my therapist and the other patients.

One thing every single one of us was encouraged to do for exercise is swim. No joint stress, no overheating if you're out of shape, no weightbearing on muscles or tendons which might no longer be up to the task.

Another one nearly everyone could do was use a stationary bike, since the knee's range of motion can be closely controlled by the seat setting and good form is almost a given.

With a knee brace to make sure the new join is always properly aligned, you might also be good on a rowing machine.
Hair Loss Treatment

Other than getting government aid for this, may I suggest that he look into doing this away from home. For example, the best hospital in Mexico charges slightly over $12,000 for a knee replacement. That's right, there's no catch. Remember that healthcare in the US is four times more expensive that everywhere else. So, if he can raise some cash among family and friends, he can get top-notch treatment for a fraction of the price back home. Check out Travel For Care's website.
Anti Wrinkle Lotion

Seems like a week is not enough of therapy for a knee replacement. Did they tell you yo continue these procedures at home? My brother had his knees done and I believe it was almost a month for him. He even used crutches for a week. Therapy has to keep bending your knee until it reaches a certain level of bending. Did you achieve that? If not, you need to go back to therapy. I would call the Surgeon who did it and inform him/her of how you feel. You might try medlineplus medical website and click on health topics. You could also try the mayoclinic.com. Wishing for you the very best young lady and good luck with that knee replacement.
Phlebotomy Certification

We're in the same boat.

One solution is called a "unispacer", but this is for people with worn cartilage on the inside of the knee. If cartilage is worn on both sides of the knee, or on the outside only, it appears the unispacer approach might not be helpful. (I fall in the latter category.)

Doing a Google search on Alternative Knee Replacement will bring up plenty of links. But here's a FAC link for the unispacer.

http://www.zimmerindia.com/z/ctl/op/global/action/1/id/9273/template/PC/navid/7971

There are some links indicating work being done in Sweden on regrowing cartilage. I haven't yet found a website for this that looks completely legitimate though.

If you're eligible for the unispacer approach, that may well solve your problem.

Good luck!
Free Autoblogging Plugin

Ask your orthopedic surgeon about artificial synovial fluid. SYNOVISC (I think). Works to delay the surgery.

Right now the biological therapies are all in the experimental stages. Regrowing the cartilage and ligaments would be ideal, but they haven't got there yet.
Directory Submitter

I would suggest have to elevate her foot. Also cold packs and ibuprofine. Also call her doctor this is probably usually what happens but call her doctor. Is she diabetic? Watch her sodium intake and drink tons of water.
Affiliate Program
